My sister has MS, and lately her fatigue has been through the roof. She keeps missing OT sessions because the travel alone drains her. She’s getting discouraged and feels like she’s losing ground. Didn’t you say your partner switched to OT at home? I wonder if it’s more manageable, especially when fatigue and mobility are so unpredictable.

From watching my dad go through OT in both clinic and home settings, I can say home wins every time. He felt more motivated and at ease when therapy happened in his familiar environment. The therapist used his actual kitchen, bathroom, even his garden to structure the exercises. It felt real, not like some abstract routine. For chronic conditions like MS, that’s everything.
